Samsung, the famous phone and electronics company, just announced something amazing for Indian students. They will train 20,000 students for free in 2025, teaching them about artificial intelligence (AI), smart devices, data analysis, and computer programming. The best part? This training is completely free and comes with job placement help.
What Is This Program About?
Samsung’s program is called Innovation Campus, and it’s designed to help young people learn valuable tech skills without paying any money. This year, they’re making it much bigger – training 20,000 students compared to just 3,500 last year.
The company wants to help students from poor families and small towns get good jobs in technology. They will not only teach technical skills but also help students with soft skills like communication and interview preparation.
Which States Can Apply?
The Samsung free training program will work in 10 states across India. Special focus will be on:
- Uttar Pradesh: 5,000 students
- Tamil Nadu: 5,000 students
- Other states: Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Maharashtra
What Skills Will Students Learn?
Students will learn four important technology areas that have many job opportunities:
1. Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- How computers can think and learn like humans
- Making smart programs and apps
2. Internet of Things (IoT)
- Connecting everyday objects to the internet
- Making smart homes and devices
3. Big Data
- Understanding and organizing large amounts of information
- Finding patterns in data to help businesses
4. Coding and Programming
- Writing instructions for computers
- Creating websites and mobile apps
Students will also learn important soft skills like speaking confidently, working in teams, and preparing for job interviews.

Who Can Apply?
While Samsung hasn’t shared all details yet, the program is mainly for:
- Students from poor families and small towns
- Young people who want to learn technology
- Those who have a basic education and are willing to work hard
The program especially wants to help students who cannot afford expensive computer courses.
How to Apply for Samsung Training?
The training will be organized by two government-approved organizations:
Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) – for students in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and West Bengal
Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC) – for students in Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Maharashtra
Both organizations will announce application dates soon through their training centers and websites.
Why This Matters for Students?
Since 2022, Samsung has already trained over 6,500 students in India through this program. Many of these students now have good jobs in technology companies.
JB Park, Samsung’s CEO for Southwest Asia, said the company wants to help create a “digitally-empowered India” by giving students from poor communities access to good education and jobs.
